Brake chamber tags and RFQ checklist
Updated 2026-10-14
For a brake chamber quote, send the type or OE on the tag (for example T30/30), the stroke if marked, quantity, destination, and a photo of the clamp band when the stamp is unclear.
Spring brake chambers are often sold by type class and by casting number. This page is the Carmally template for reading the tag and building an RFQ that does not bounce.
What the tag usually shows
Look for a type class such as T30/30 or T3030, a stroke mark (standard or long), and sometimes a plant or casting code. Carmally catalogs those classes as OE quote keys — for example T30/30, T3030DD, and NT3030STD-78.
Piggyback and double-diaphragm notes
If the unit is a piggyback kit or a double-diaphragm chamber, say so in the RFQ. Do not assume the desk can see that from a truck model alone.
Minimum RFQ fields
Send at least the fields below. Extra photos help when the stamp is worn.
- Type or OE on the tag
- Stroke if printed
- Service vs spring chamber, if you know
- Quantity and destination
Steps
- 01Photograph the chamber tag and the clamp-band stamp.
- 02Write the type (T30/30, Type 30, and so on) and stroke if shown.
- 03Add quantity and destination to the RFQ form.

FAQ
Is T30/30 the same as T3030?
Buyers often write both for the same size class. Your purchase order should still use the exact string on your part or invoice.
Do you need the truck VIN?
No. A VIN without the chamber number does not identify the actuator Carmally can quote.
Where are the chamber OE rows?
See the brake chamber hub and the OE pages linked from that hub, including T30/30 and T3030DD.
Ready to send numbers?
Use the same RFQ inbox as the quote page. Paste the OE list and the desk replies by email.
