How to quote brake shoe and lining kits by number
Updated 2026-10-14
Send the FMSI-style or OE number on the old shoe or lining (for example 4707QP or 4515Q), say whether you need lining, hardware, or reman, then add quantity and destination.
Lined shoe kits are identified by the number on the old set, not by a truck model year. This guide is the Carmally checklist for shoe and lining RFQs.
Numbers buyers already send
Carmally catalogs 4707QP (with alias KSF5204707QP), 4515Q, 4709, 4515QHD, and 4707 as separate quote keys. Size language such as 16.5x7 helps when the number is missing, but it is not a substitute for the code on the shoe.
Lined kit vs hardware vs reman
A lined kit, a hardware kit, and a reman lined shoe are different purchase lines. Mark which one you want so the desk does not price the wrong bill of materials.
- Lined shoe kit (for example 4707QP)
- Hardware-only kit (for example 4515QHD)
- Reman lined shoe — state core return yes/no
Minimum RFQ fields
Empty fields are better than guesses.
- Shoe or lining number
- New vs reman
- Hardware included or separate
- Quantity and destination

FAQ
Is 4707 the same as 4707QP?
No on this site. 4707QP is the lined-kit row; 4707 is kept separate. Use the string on your invoice.
Can I quote by 16.5x7 alone?
The desk can open a search, but a firm line still needs 4707QP, 4515Q, or another number from the old shoe.
Do you need the axle brand?
Only if it is printed with the shoe number. Axle folklore without a number is usually not enough.
