RFQ checklist for a China parts desk
Updated 2026-10-14
A usable RFQ names the company, a reachable email, OE numbers one per line, quantity, and destination — photos of worn tags prevent follow-up delays.
This is the operating checklist Carmally uses when teaching a new buyer how to inquire. It is written for international B2B traffic, not for retail cart checkout.
Required fields
Without these, the desk cannot open a priced reply.
- Company name
- Email that reaches a buyer
- OE list
- Quantity
- Destination
Optional but useful
Incoterm preference, packing notes, target lead time, and whether the line is reman or new.
What happens next
Carmally matches the codes against the catalog and the sourcing network. Unknown numbers are quoted as a search, not invented as stock. Nothing ships until you accept the quote. See the RFQ policy page for reply rules and what a quote does and does not promise.
Steps
- 01Prepare the OE list in a plain text block, one code per line.
- 02Add quantity and destination next to each line when they differ.
- 03Attach tag photos for any unclear stamps.
- 04Submit through /rfq and keep the same email thread for revisions.

FAQ
Can I send an Excel file?
Yes. Paste a summary in the OE field and note that the spreadsheet is attached or will follow by email if your form workflow requires it.
How fast is a reply?
The desk aims to acknowledge RFQs on China business days. Firm lead times appear only on the quote email once the line is matched.
Is the public catalog live stock?
No. OE rows are quote keys. Configuration placeholders still need a number. A catalog page is not a warehouse inventory count.
Ready to send numbers?
Use the same RFQ inbox as the quote page. Paste the OE list and the desk replies by email.
