Slack adjuster spline and arm length checklist
Updated 2026-10-14
An automatic slack adjuster RFQ should include the OE number, spline size (for example 1.5″-28), arm length, quantity, and destination — the same family is sold in many combinations.
Two adjusters can look identical and still be different parts. Carmally asks for spline and arm length so the desk does not guess.
Why spline and arm length matter
R801073 is cataloged as a 1.5 inch-28 spline with a 5.5 inch arm. Another combination needs its own number even when the casting family looks familiar.
When the tag is gone
Send photos of the spline end and the arm, plus any remaining paint codes. Mark unknown fields blank rather than inventing a number.
- Photo of the spline
- Arm length measurement
- Clevis or offset description
- Quantity and destination
Steps
- 01Read the OE on the adjuster body or the invoice line.
- 02Count or measure the spline and write the arm length in inches.
- 03Note clevis style if the tag is missing.
- 04Send the RFQ with quantity and destination.

FAQ
Can I quote with arm length only?
Arm length alone is usually not enough. Add the spline or a clear photo of the spline end.
What is CS56040 on this site?
It is a cross-reference buyers already search. It is not a claim that Carmally owns that trademark.
